![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It looks like a game going from animation to animation, very janky. Crowds from players just look strange at times, absolutely no fluidity to it. The stadia are almost floating in a very unreal environment. Really odd looking 2d sprites, its not good enough any more. We're still on similar graphics that came in with the first ever 3d match engine. What they DO need to put way more effort into, graphics/animation. There NEEDS to be a "greediness" stat to stop all the people complaining about "why doesn't he square it" watch the Liverpool/Arsenal game the other day, Salah practically sprinted and tackled ayers are greedy. Some of them definitely don't though(odd dives from keepers following it hitting the post), odd ball physics after hitting a post/bar. Let's be honest though, some of these odd things do genuinely happen in football. The mechanics of the engine are pretty good tbh, there's still the odd outlier of something really weird happening. Clearer tactics, less emphasis on wingers, less "super tactics" that seemed to be creeping back in after almost being eradicated for a few decades since the CM days. I actually think there's been some fairly decent and noticeable improvements in the match engine as a whole. TL DR - match engines ok, graphics/animations are approaching an unacceptable level of poor. Be course, don't get me wrong, I'm not happy about paying 40€ for a small patch, even if I do it. This is me, trying to find positive things to say. I could be wrong, but that seems like the obvious easy, yet very important way to make an improvement to the game. I think transfer market improvements will possible be the major improvement this year. If there is one thing they should, and possible could change for 21, is it the transfer market, and some pretty obvious flaws with it. Overall, one of the best in many years, if you ask me. But I don't think we will see the same upgrades as we did in 20, and more then likely, will it feel a lot more like, a small patch.įM 2020 did have some pretty good improvements. Epically well knowingly, that Covid will have effected the amount of work SI staff, probably put into the 21 edition, and that is not their fault at all (they do have to follow government laws and restrictions.) That said, I'll buy it anyway. So yeah, there are a discussion to be made for skipping this years edition. ![]() No, this year, will be a scuffed Covid-19, minor changes, 40€ patch. One day man, one day before I die, that fifa enigne with FM's spreadwheet will be more then a dream, but not this year. Even if it do takes time, are they focusing on the wrong things, when you look at the work the community and modders put into exactly those kind of things every year as well. takes a lot of time, and that is what we pay for. Some might tell me, that updating all the profile pictures, kits, stats, transfers etc. They simply don't deserve better, with a 40-50€ game every year, with changes that many indie games and small companies make in a patch, 4-5 times a year. But for now, am I looking at Sports Interactive, as no better then money grapping 10+ DLC a year Paradox or micro-transaction ruining game stuido - EA. I love the game, I play way more then I should, but I have lost any believes in this games future when it comes to big changes like that. And even if they do decide to make a new engine, I just have that feeling, we will get to see something that should have been implanted in 2010. It would be a long shoot to believe this company is going to spend money, and make big changes to the engine, or even make a new one. We are using something, that was played with in 2003, in most other games. The match engine we are using right now, is from 2010, or was it 2011? Anyhow, even back then was it 8-10 years behind. If you look at all the years, and put all the changes together, is it still not big changes, going all the way back to when Sport interactive took over. I'm not hopeful, neither for a match engine this year or next year, or for any graphical or match engine that might come in the future. But we have said this, for over a decade. ![]()
